Baltic Astronomy, vol. 16, 251–285, 2007. X-RAY PROFILES IN SYMMETRIC AND ASYMMETRIC SUPERNOVA REMNANTS
نویسنده
چکیده
The nonthermal X-rays from the SNR 1006 NE rim present characteristic scale lengths that are interpreted in the context of diffusion of a relativistic electron. The adopted theoretical framework is the mathematical diffusion in 3D, 1D and 1D with drift as well as the Monte Carlo random walk in 1D with drift. The asymmetric random walk with diffusion from a plane can explain the scale widths of 0.04 pc upstream and 0.2 pc downstream in the nonthermal intensity of X-ray emission in SNR 1006. A mathematical image of the nonthermal X-flux from a supernova remnant as well as profiles function of the distance from the center can be simulated. This model provides a reasonable description of both the limbs and the central region of SNR 1006. A new method to deduce the magnetic field in supernova remnants is suggested.

Quantification the dosimetric parameters of asymmetric physical wedged-6MV photon beam
Introduction: Physical wedge as a useful tool has been utilized in radiotherapy to modify photon beam shape and intensity such that it distributes dose uniformly in tumor site and reduces hot points. Since during Linac commissioning dosimetric parameters like output factors and lateral dose profiles are measured only for symmetric open and wedged fields, so calculation the par...

Introduction: Physical wedge by modify photon beam shape and intensity has been utilized in radiotherapy to obtain uniformly dose distribution in tumor site with reduced hot spots. Calculation of dosimetric parameters for both symmetric and asymmetric wedged fields is proved necessary during linear accelerator (Linac) commissioning. The present study aimed to achieve o...

We report the discovery of the afterglow of the X-ray rich, long-duration gamma-ray burst GRB 011211 and present evidence for oscillatory behaviour in its early optical light curve. The time-scale of the fluctuations, ∼1 hour, is much smaller than the time of the observations, ∼12 hours from the onset of the gamma-ray burst. The character and strength of the fluctuations are unprecedented and a...
متن کاملChemical Abundances of the Secondary Star in the Black Hole X-ray Binary XTE J1118+480
Following the recent abundance measurements of Mg, Al, Ca, Fe, and Ni in the black hole X-ray binary XTE J1118+480 using medium-resolution Keck II/ESI spectra of the secondary star (González Hernández et al. 2006), we perform a detailed abundance analysis including the abundances of Si and Ti. These element abundances, higher than solar, indicate that the black hole in this system formed in a s...
متن کاملSeismic Behavior of Asymmetric Two-Story X-braced Frames
Concentrically braced frames (CBFs) are one of the efficient lateral load resisting systems in high seismicity regions. One of the common problems with the use of concentrically braced frames is limitation in the architectural application and position of the openings. Two-story X braced frames have more advantages than other configurations of concentrically braced frames, since in many cases th...
